Therein lies the subtle danger. The machine simulates a depth of understanding where often there is none. We humans believe this simulation because it is so convincing.

This happens not because the machine actually thinks, but because it can replicate our human form of thought so accurately that we often no longer clearly recognize ourselves and our own contributions to this illusion.
